"It is designed to raise awareness that, for the first time in history, the outcome of the All-Star Game will determine which League has home-field advantage in the World Series, giving the All-Star Game a direct impact on the Major League Baseball postseason"

"Under existing practice, home-field advantage - the first two games and the last two games in the four-of-seven-game Series - is alternated each year by league without regard to won-lost record or any other factor. Selig, the owners and Fox television want to enhance the All-Star Game, which they feel has lost some attractiveness, and thought that linking it to the World Series would energize the game."

@all:
Fandet ihr die alte Regel besser?
(i.e. Heimrecht wird jedes Jahr getauscht...)
