Umpire

A game is always won or lost by the calls of an umpire.Sometimes a game is either won or lost by the calls from an umpirer.
Sometimes the players just don't like it.
Players and coaches tend to overestimate their skills related to those of umpires. The easiest way to get rid of them if you don't like their calls: Improve your performance, promote to a higher league and you will have better umpires.
If you can't make it, don't complain.

I agree with you 100%. The majority of umpires are good, and I myself could never do the good job that they do. That I do admit, and you are also totally correct in saying that the players and coaches tend to overestimate their skills. We have no idea what a bulk is, or what a strike zone is, however I still cannot find in my rule book the rule for a runner is out by contact when the opponent is in posession of the ball (that means for example the opponent touch the runner with his foot instead of the ball). The next rule is when an outfielder does not catch the ball, instead lands on top of the ball then this is called a dead ball because the outfielder has trapped the ball. These are my issues. I do not want to insult anybody, but this is out there... All I want to do is play good ball and feel good after a game win or lose. We are one big family and we need to look after one another.Mobascheri hat geschrieben:A game is always won or lost by the calls of an umpire.Sometimes a game is either won or lost by the calls from an umpirer.

Keep your head in the game and play your position:
