Sep 1 Today’s edition of the Boston Globe reports the Red Sox are looking into a Channel 4 TV report that Manny Ramirez was spotted at the JER-NE bar at the Ritz-Carlton Saturday night. Ramirez lives at the Ritz, and this wouldn’t be a big deal except that he didn’t play in their series against the Yankees this weekend because he was sick. Ramirez is reported to have had pharyngitis, which includes a sore throat and fever. “I don't usually say this but no comment,” president/CEO Larry Lucchino told the Globe. “No comment.” Lucchino added: “You know, it's hard to say no comment, then comment on things you say. Let's just say that we don't know enough to comment. Let me state no comment on the entire scenario.” Red Sox manager Grady Little told the paper that he expects Manny to be with the team when they travel to Philadelphia for a makeup game against the Phillies today.
